COMMENTS FROM OUR CAMPERS AND PARENTS
SUMMER CAMP SEASON SURVEY COMMENTS:
"It was our first experience with camp and it was everything we expected and more"-- Chris, Don, & Debbie H., Atlanta, GA- north Atlanta suburbs
"Loved the horseback riding, Nicole's biggest surprise was that she got to advance to a bigger horse. Jarrod and Nicole both loved every single evening activity. I was very impressed with how everyone seemed so interested in the kids."-- Nicole, Jarrod, and Michelle S. Atlanta, GA- Gwinnett county residents
"Horseback riding and the Climbing Wall were favorite activities. Biggest surprise was that Brian was so positive when we came to pick him up. Also, I felt very confident leaving Brian at Camp Woodmont. Camp Woodmont was a wonderful experience for our entire family and I especially appreciated the words of encouragement I received when I called to check up on how Brian was handling the experience. Jane went out of her way to make a nervous mom feel like her child was with a trusted family member rather than in an institutional camp environment. My heartfelt thanks go out to Jim, Jane, Shag and all of the others who went out of their way to make Camp Woodmont a winner in this family's eyes. If we are still in the Atlanta area next year, we hope to see you again and this time Brian's twin sister Laura will attend as well."-- Sue and Rick D., Suburban Atlanta area.
"Wendy was an excellent counselor, my daughter still keeps in touch with her. Our biggest surprise was how much they enjoyed camp. Our biggest disappointment was that we didn't send our son too! " -- Cindy R. Atlanta, GA

Finish the following sentence: "The activities and stuff we do at Camp Woodmont would be even more fun if...................
"It was not so strecked" --12 year old boy (I think he meant if it was not so strict; and yes we do have rules and responsibilities for all campers and maybe it seemed strict to this 12 year old boy; however, we are very fair with all campers and our main goal is to have fun while learning to live and play together)
"They would give us more free time and more swim" --13 year old girl (Our program does have lots of activities and things for campers to do scheduled throughout the day; however, we have several periods of rest, free time, and free-swim every day).
"We had longer time to do it" --11 year old girl
"They're great right now" --9 year old girl
"They weren't always so safe" --9 year old girl (Safety is a primary concern at Camp Woodmont and is discussed at every activity; maybe this little girl had heard so many safety instructions that she thought we were over-doing it).
"The pool was warmer, and you could sit at any table you wanted at meals" --10 year old girl (Our pool temperature is 78-82 degrees and is pleasant when you get used to it; also, we stress table manners and use family style serving with the counselor sitting at the head of each table: good eating habits and manners are stressed and that is why we all sit at assigned cabin tables at meals).

Finish the following sentence: "Something I would like to say about my counselor is............
"She was real cool, but made rules that made sense for the cabin" --10 year old girl
"She is awesome & fun, hire her again next year" --11 year old girl
"He was nice" --9 year old boy

"hess grat" --8 year old boy (I think he means he's great)
"She's the best counselor in the world" --13 year old girl
"I really hope she's back next year" --14 year old girl
"He's been great" --12 year old boy
"She tried hard to have fun and let us do alot we wouldn't have done" --9 year old girl (I think she means that her counselor tried to let them do as many activities as possible and even those activities that some of the younger campers didn't normally get to do)
Here's a letter from a parent:
Campers name loved camp. She hasn't stopped talking about it. I thank you for being so caring and supportive. May God continue to bless.
Another comment from a parent:
"Thanks you for the wonderful week that my daughter spent with you. She had such a good time and just loved everyone. She wants to spend 2 weeks next summer. I just wanted to give you the feedback. She is off at another summer trip now, but in the short time she was home, she told us how great the camp was and that her counselor was really great. Thanks Again"....................
