Drop by camp anytime Sunday, May 5 between 2 –  5 pm! And if you can’t come then, don’t forget about our Open House on Sunday, May 19 from 2- 5! Come for refreshments, tours and to meet the staff! Fun for the whole family!

Age Extension to 15

A new change this year is an extension of our camper age to 15! In the past, many teens wanted to return to camp but had “aged” out; so now we are accepting 15-year-olds. Hurry and register though because we have a lot of 15 year olds who attend.

More 2 week sessions!

Additionally, we appreciate the feedback about dates for summer 2024, with many asking for more 2-week sessions.  So, we have re-instated 3, 2-week sessions in 2024!

In 2023, we added another activity time block, to give campers 6 classes to choose from instead of 5. It was a resounding success so we are keeping this schedule for 2024.

And for campers who register for 2-weeks, we’re excited to announce that we are working on another Big Weekend event! The theme is being kept “under wraps” but we can guarantee it’s going to be a big hit!

In summary, it’s hard to describe just how good it felt to have camp open again and back to normal! The laughter and songs. The smell of bug spray and campfires. The many games and activities.  The connections and relationships. That’s what camp is all about! We are so grateful to host camp again, and touch the lives of so many children!  And we’re looking forward to so much more fun and laughter in 2024.  Please join us and enroll now!

The letter below was written in May 2020, and we believe it’s important to keep on our website so parents will know why we chose to close in 2020:

Greetings Parents & Campers,

We have been holding onto the hope that by the time summer arrives, things would be back to normal. Our staff worked to find solutions to every possible contingency, but the uncertainties are still too great.  Camp in 2020 would look very different on so many levels.

Operating a safe environment takes many months of planning and preparation under normal circumstances. However with this unknown threat, combined with shortages of supplies, as well as the Directive from Governor Kemp on 5/12/2020 at 4 pm, Camp Woodmont cannot in good faith offer the safe, enriching experience you and your children envision.

Camp Woodmont summer camp is an experience that 100s of children were looking forward to. Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are. While this news is simply devastating, we understand this is the best decision for the safety and protection of all children, staff, parents and our community.

Camp means so much to us and we want to continue the legacy that Mr. and Mrs. B. started 39 years ago, and to do that, we must sacrifice and suspend camp in 2020. However, we are confident we will be back together – better than ever – in 2021.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership, support and prayers.

Wishing You a Safe and Healthy Summer,

Alyson Bennett Gondek & the Leadership Team of Stephanie, Chloe and Marvin
